GF's first investment in China dates back to 1993, when GF established a joint venture in Beijing. In 1998, the Swiss Georg Fischer Group established its first wholly-owned subsidiary in Pudong, Shanghai, Shanghai Georg Fischer Piping Systems Co., Ltd., and set up branches in Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen and Xi'an. The company has world-renowned production and testing equipment, and completely uses the world's top raw materials to produce plastic pipes, pipe fittings and other pipeline system products, without adding any recycled materials.
In 2003, the company passed the ISO9001 of the British Standards and Technical Committee and the quality system certification ISO14001 the Swiss General Standards Service Agency. State-of-the-art production technology and strict quality control systems ensure the reliability of the products and thus adapt to the relevant international standards and Chinese national standards. Modern management tools and information systems connect us to the Georg Fischer Group and enable the sharing of information and resources on a global scale.
The company has a large warehouse, after-sales service center, and training centers in five branches to provide comprehensive product and technical training for employees and customers, and the company also has a decentralized inventory to serve customers nearby. Since 2001, the company has set up a wholly-owned trading company in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, and is equipped with a bonded warehouse.
In 2008, in order to meet the growing demand for production capacity, the Swiss Georg Fischer Group established its second wholly-owned subsidiary in China in Tongzhou, Beijing, Beijing Georg Fischer Piping System Co., Ltd. Beijing Georg Fischer Piping Systems Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation in August 2010, and the President of the Swiss Confederation attended the opening ceremony and cut the ribbon for the factory.
On November 3, 2014, after a series of preparations, demonstrations and acceptances, the laboratory of GF Piping Systems in Beijing was officially recognized as a national accredited laboratory by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). Since then, GF's laboratories can not only carry out testing projects for GF products, but also provide reliable testing services as a third-party laboratory and issue internationally recognized reports with the CNAS mark.
We focus on two core businesses: industrial and civil construction. In the industrial field, the company can provide plastic pipes, fittings, valves, measuring instruments and control equipment including PP-H, PVDF, PVC, PP-S, ABS and other plastic pipes for the chemical industry, water treatment industry, microelectronics industry and marine industry, and at the same time provide unparalleled plastic pipe welding technology. In the field of civil construction, PE, PB, PE-RT, PP-R and other products printed with the "GF" mark are widely used in domestic hot and cold water, radiator connection, low-temperature radiant ground heating, ceiling heating/cooling, ice storage, ground source heat pumps and competition-grade ice rinks.
As a global leader in plastic piping systems, GF actively promotes the standardization and development of the industry in China, and has participated in the formulation of many national and industry standards as the first drafting unit.
At present, GF Piping Systems has 2 wholly-owned factories (GF Shanghai and GF Beijing) and 9 joint venture plants in China. As a production base in the Asia-Pacific region, some of our products are also exported to other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, even to our headquarters in Switzerland.
