Founded in 2000, Wasion Group Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Wasion") is a core subsidiary of Wasion Group Holdings Limited (HK3393), a leading supplier of energy metering equipment, systems and services in China, successfully listed on the main board of Hong Kong in 2005, with more than 2,000 employees. Wasion Science and Technology Park covers an area of 460 acres, with a construction area of 150,000 square meters, and has introduced the industry's leading automated production equipment and process technology, advanced logistics management system FRAME WORX and SAP ERP system, and is currently one of the most advanced R&D and manufacturing bases for energy metering and energy efficiency management products in China.
Wasion is deeply engaged in the field of domestic electric energy metering, and actively responds to the national "One Belt, One Road" initiative to vigorously explore overseas markets. Practicing "Made in China 2025", increasing investment in automation and intelligence, improving production efficiency and per capita output, and achieving remarkable results in both economic and social benefits.
On November 4, 2013, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Wasion and encouraged Wasion to increase R&D and continue to innovate. With the encouragement of the general secretary, Wasion has always taken innovation as the engine of development, and has a strong R&D team of energy metering and energy efficiency management technology, with a total of more than 700 R&D engineering and technical personnel, including more than 300 R&D technicians, 36% of whom are senior talents with master's degree or above (including doctorate), and 12 members of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Electrical Instruments and Meters. Wasion has a national enterprise technology center, a Hunan Provincial Electrical Measuring Instrument Engineering Technology Research Center and an enterprise postdoctoral workstation, and established the "Academician Expert Workstation" in May 2012 to continuously improve the company's technological innovation capabilities by combining the high-quality resources of two academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering and their expert teams. In June, Wasion Research Institute was established, which has become the engine to lead the future technology direction of Wasion and promote the steady development of Wasion's business.
In 2016, Wasion invested more than 7% of its operating revenue in R&D and technological innovation to ensure that it was one step ahead of the curve in technology and products. Up to now, Wasion Group has 533 valid patents, including 30 invention patents, 302 utility models, 200 designs and 1 integrated circuit layout. It has 353 software copyrights, participated in the formulation of 40 national and industry standards, won 1 second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 China Patent Excellence Award, 1 first prize of Hunan Science and Technology Progress Award, and many other provincial and municipal science and technology awards. In 2016, Wasion was awarded the title of "2016 Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Project" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, the title of "National Quality Benchmarking Enterprise", and the 5th Hunan Provincial Governor's Quality Award in 2017.
