Talanx is a German listed insurance company headquartered in Hanover, Germany. Talanx was founded in 1996 and today operates in more than 150 countries around the world. In 2014, it ranked 302nd in the Fortune Global 500.

Talanx has experienced particularly strong growth over the past decade, achieving a total premium income of more than €28 billion in 2013. As a multi-brand provider in the highly promising insurance and financial services industries, Talanx has been very successful. The group is led by Talanx, which manages and executes the tasks of a financial holding company, rather than dealing with any of its own insurance business. Talanx's largest shareholder, mutual insurance company HDI V.A.G., owns 79% of the shares, 6.5% of the shares are held by Japanese insurance company Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Co., and 14.5% of the shares are free-floating.
