CEC is a state-owned enterprise approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and affiliated to the Environmental Development Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. It is a comprehensive certification body approved by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China, an authoritative organization in the field of environmental certification in China, and was recognized as the first batch of high-tech enterprises in the industry in 2014. CEC integrates the certification resources of the former China National Accreditation Center for Environmental Conformity Assessment, the Secretariat of the China Environmental Labeling Product Certification Committee, the Environmental Development Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences to realize the unified management of institutions, business, personnel, information and various resources, so as to make the service more professional, high-quality and efficient.    

As a national authoritative certification body in the field of environmental protection, energy conservation and climate protection, CEC is committed to providing impartial and independent third-party certification services for all sectors of society, including: environmental labeling, quality management system, environmental management system, occupational health and safety management system, food safety management system, HACCP, energy management system, organic products, low-carbon products, general industrial products and other fields of certification, greenhouse gas project validation/verification and training activities in various fields. CEC is also a national research institution that provides technical support and services for national environmental protection work, climate change response work and green supply chain management, and was recognized as the first batch of high-tech enterprises in the industry in 2014.
