Matrix Partners (Beijing) Investment Management Consulting Co., Ltd., founded in 1977 in the United States, is an enterprise engaged in investment, business and management consulting business with a high reputation in the venture capital industry for its outstanding investment performance and long history
Matrix Partners is a joint venture company established in China by Matrix Partners for its outstanding investment performance and long history in the global venture capital industry.
Founded in 1977 in Boston, Matrix Partners was one of the first venture capital firms to invest in start-up high-tech companies on the East Coast. The company was one of the earliest investors in Apollo Computer, Stratus Computer, and Continental Cable (the predecessor of Comcast), and was one of Apple's early investors.
In 1982, Paul Ferri changed the company's name to Matrix Partners and opened a Silicon Valley office on the West Coast. The East and West Coasts of the United States were the most important birthplaces of technological innovation in the United States, and at that time only a few venture capital firms had offices on both the East and West Coasts. It is precisely with this advantage that Matrix Partners can often get in touch with the cutting-edge technological innovation in various industries at the first time.
In 2006, Matrix Partners raised its first India fund, which is co-managed by two managing partners, Avnish Bajaj and Rishi Navani. Headquartered in Mumbai, the fund has completed a number of investments in a range of consumer-oriented sectors, including internet, education, financial services and retail.
Jingwei China was founded in 2008 and is co-managed by three managing partners: Yibo Shao, Chuanchen Xu and Ying Zhang. Matrix Partners China is actively seeking investment opportunities in different sectors such as environmental technology, education, energy, financial services, health, internet and software.
