taboo

It is forbidden for those who are known to be allergic to esomeprazole, other benzimidazole compounds or any other ingredient of this product.

Precautions

1. Malignancy should be excluded when any alarm symptoms (such as significant involuntary weight loss, recurrent vomiting, dysphagia, hematemesis, or melena) are present, and gastric ulcers are suspected or already have gastric ulcers, because treatment with esomeprazole magnesium enteric-coated tablets can reduce symptoms and delay diagnosis.

2. Patients who have been using the drug for a long time (especially those who have been using it for more than 1 year) should be monitored regularly.

3. Patients treated as needed should be informed to contact their physician if their symptom characteristics change. Possible drug interactions due to fluctuations in blood levels of esomeprazole should be considered when administering medication as needed (see Drug Interactions).

4. When esomeprazole is used in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori eradication, possible drug interactions of all components of the triple therapy should be considered. Clarithromycin is a potent inhibitor of CYP 3A4, so contraindications and interactions of clarithromycin should be considered when patients on triple therapy are taking other drugs that are also metabolized by CYP 3A4, such as cisapride.

5. Patients with rare hereditary diseases, such as glucose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency, should not take this product.

6. Renal impairment: Patients with renal impairment do not need to adjust the dose. In patients with severe renal insufficiency, treatment should be cautious due to limited experience with the drug (see [Pharmacokinetics]).

7. Hepatic impairment Patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment do not need to adjust the dose. For patients with severe hepatic impairment, the dose of esomeprazole magnesium enteric-coated tablets should not exceed 20 mg (see [Pharmacokinetics]).

8. Impact on driving and ability to use machines This effect has not been observed.
