Founded in Hong Kong in 1981, SIIC's water treatment business includes water treatment companies such as SIIC Environment and Central Water

SIIC's water business mainly consists of two companies, namely SIIC Environment, which is listed in Singapore, and Zhonghuan Water, a domestic water company, with a total daily processing capacity of nearly 17 million tons.

Listed on the Catalist Board of Singapore in 2005 and listed on the Main Board of Singapore in 2012, SIIC Environment has become a first-line comprehensive environmental protection enterprise in China's environment, committed to expanding the market share of the water industry and environmental protection related industries. SIHL acquired SIIC Environment in 2010 and currently holds 35.55% of the company's shares. SIIC Environment actively invests in and operates environmental protection projects and has a history of more than 10 years in China's environmental protection industry. SIIC currently has about 80 water projects and 3 solid waste power projects in China, covering 15 provinces and municipalities in mainland China, with a daily processing capacity of more than 7 million tons. With the wide applicability of the technology, SIIC Environment's business has expanded into water and environmental protection related industries, such as industrial wastewater treatment, seawater desalination, solid waste power generation and new energy, consolidating the company's position in China's environmental investment industry. In 2016, SIIC Environment achieved operating income of RMB 2.648 billion and net profit after tax of RMB 455 million.

China Environmental Protection Water Investment Co., Ltd

By the end of 2016, Central Water had 30 water plants and 27 sewage treatment plants, with a daily production capacity of 6,632,500 tons, of which 4,265,000 tons per day and 2,367,500 tons per day. 2 reservoirs with a total capacity of 182.32 million tonnes and a total length of 6,030 km of pipe network. In 2016, Central Water achieved an operating income of HK$1.942 billion and a net profit of HK$182 million.

Shanghai Industrial Co., Ltd. was incorporated in Hong Kong in July 1981 and is a window enterprise of the Shanghai Municipal Government in Hong Kong, and is currently wholly owned by the Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. In June 1993, the company changed its name to "Shanghai Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "SIIC"). In May 1996, SIIC's Shanghai Industrial Holdings Co., Ltd. (0363. HK, hereinafter referred to as "SIHL") is listed in Hong Kong.
