A wholly state-owned enterprise funded and established by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government with its wholly-owned state-owned enterprises, engaged in the construction of water supply and drainage projects

The predecessor of the company is Chongqing Water Holding (Group) Co., Ltd., established on January 11, 2001, which is a wholly state-owned limited liability company funded by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government with the interests of state-owned enterprises such as Chongqing Water Supply Company, Chongqing Drainage Co., Ltd., Chongqing Public Utilities Infrastructure Engineering Office, Chongqing Public Utilities Engineering Construction Contracting Company, Chongqing Public Utilities Investment and Development Company, etc.

In June 2007, Chongqing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) changed Chongqing Water Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. from a wholly state-owned limited liability company to a state-owned holding limited liability company with two shareholders through the transfer of state-owned shares. Prior to the establishment of the Company, the shareholders of Chongqing Water Affairs Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd. were: (1) Chongqing Water Assets Management Co., Ltd., holding 85% of the shares; (2) Chongqing Suyu Industrial Development Co., Ltd., with a shareholding ratio of 15%. In August 2007, the shareholders' meeting of Chongqing Water Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. passed a resolution to agree to convert the audited book value of net assets of 5951.7812 million yuan into 430,000 shares of share capital as of June 30, 2007, and change it to Chongqing Water Group Co., Ltd. as a whole, and the part of the book value of net assets exceeding the amount of subscribed registered capital of 1651.7812 million yuan into the company's capital reserve. Among them, the water asset management company holds 365,500,000 shares, accounting for 85% of the total share capital; Suyu holds 645 million shares, accounting for 15% of the total share capital. On September 6, 2007, the Company obtained the business license of enterprise legal person issued by Chongqing Administration for Industry and Commerce.
