Novozymes ChinaIt is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Novozymes Group in China and is one of the largest Danish companies in China. China plays an important role in Novozymes' globalization strategy and has gradually become the Group's most important business growth engine and R&D, production and operation center. Up to now, Novozymes has more than 1,000 employees in R&D, production, sales, marketing and other functional departments in six cities in China. Novozymes provides innovative and sustainable solutions to customers in the home care, textile, wastewater treatment, food and beverage, agriculture and bioenergy sectors in China.

In China, Novozymes adheres to the "triple bottom line" of business performance, environmental performance and social responsibility, and actively develops new products and applications suitable for the local market to solve the problems faced by China's industry and process. In 2015, Novozymes put forward the strategy of "cooperation to build impact", and is committed to taking root in China's development and becoming a trusted and important partner in China's sustainable development process through continuous in-depth cooperation with the Chinese government, scientific research institutions, universities and Chinese enterprises.

Novozymes invests 13%-14% of its annual turnover in R&D every year. Novozymes China R&D Center was completed in 1995 and officially moved to Novozymes China Headquarters in Zhongguancun Science Park, Haidian District, Beijing in 1997. The R&D center is equipped with world-class biotechnology laboratory equipment, where many scientists, scholars and researchers from home and abroad carry out cutting-edge research in various core fields. As an important part of the global R&D strategy, Novozymes' China R&D Center covers many of Novozymes' core businesses and is seamlessly integrated into the global R&D system.
