CITIC Heavy Industries Machinery Co., Ltd., formerly known as Luoyang Mining Machinery Factory, is one of the 156 key projects built during the "First Five-Year Plan" period. In 1993, it was merged into CITIC Group Corporation and renamed CITIC Heavy Machinery Company. In January 2008, CITIC Heavy Industries Machinery Co., Ltd. was restructured and established. In July 2012, the company's A-share shares were successfully listed and traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
