In 2014, the Group had a turnover of DKK 23.6 billion (approximately RMB 21.5 billion), employed 18,878 people worldwide, had 83 subsidiaries in 56 countries, and produced more than 16 million pumps per year. In the 70 years since the company was founded, Grundfos has focused on the development of pumps-related technologies, products and solutions.
Grundfos entered the Chinese market in 1994 and now has 1 investment holding company, 2 sales companies, 1 concept store, 15 offices, 4 production plants, 1 R&D center, nearly 1,600 employees, and an annual turnover of more than 2.4 billion yuan. In addition to Chinese mainland, Grundfos China is also responsible for Hong Kong and Mongolia.
Grundfos is the first pump manufacturer in the world to be authorised to ISO9001 standard quality certificates and to pass ISO14001 and other environmental certifications. At the same time, Grundfos is also the first foreign-funded enterprise to obtain the certification of energy-saving products for clean water centrifugal pumps in China, and has been included in the list of government procurement of energy-saving products in China for many years.
Established in Suzhou in 2007, the Grundfos China R&D Centre is the second largest outside of the Danish headquarters, with around 80 top technicians from China and Denmark constantly innovating to save energy in order to protect the environment. Using their collective wisdom, they work with higher education institutions to find new ideas in product design and functionality to develop energy-efficient products that meet the needs of the Chinese market.
