FAW Casting Co., Ltd., referred to as "FAW Casting", is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China FAW Co., Ltd. and a large-scale state-owned automobile casting manufacturer. Headquartered in Changchun City, Jilin Province, FAW Foundry was formerly known as the foundry workshop of the First Automobile Factory, which was built in 1953 at the same time as the First Automobile Factory, and was completed and put into operation in 1956, providing high-quality castings for the production of the first Jiefang brand truck in New China. On March 12, 1999, FAW Casting Co., Ltd. was established by the foundry, the second foundry, the precision casting factory and the mold factory, after 60 years of development, FAW Casting has become one of the largest automobile casting production bases in China.
FAW Foundry Co., Ltd. currently has 8 branches and 1 joint-stock company, namely the first foundry, the second foundry, the special foundry, the non-ferrous casting branch, the casting mold equipment factory, the die-casting factory, the Chengdu nonferrous casting branch, Wuxi FAW Casting Co., Ltd., and Changchun FAW United Die-casting Co., Ltd.
FAW Casting has a complete range of production processes, and its technical level is leading in China. The cold air, hot air cupola furnace and electric furnace duplex melting process, the application of air punching, static pressure, extrusion, high pressure, shell molding technology, cold core, hot core, shell core core technology and program-controlled sand treatment system, the production of gray iron, ductile iron, vermicular iron and other castings; Non-ferrous castings use high-pressure casting, gravity casting, and investment casting processes to produce non-ferrous alloy castings such as aluminum-magnesium castings and die-castings.
