Moon Restaurant is located in Qujiang Tang City Wall Ruins Park, a few hundred meters away from the Tang Paradise, with beautiful surrounding scenery. Moon is the only Italian restaurant in Xi'an with an outdoor lawn space, where buffet banquets and outdoor weddings can be held. The restaurant is located in the former famous Bogas Wine Cellar in Xi'an, which has nearly 1,000 kinds of fine wines, and has a wine cellar room, which is very suitable for business banquets.
The owner of the restaurant is the head chef of Papaya Italian Restaurant in Xi'an, who founded Moon Restaurant himself many years after joining PAPAYA. The two restaurants are similar, but Moon has a wider variety of dishes and a much better setting than PAPAYA. However, compared with the previous restaurants on the list, the quality of Moon's ingredients is mediocre, steaks, snails, seafood, etc. are all frozen, and the taste is not as good as fresh ingredients, especially prawns, mussels, shellfish and other dishes that have been frozen for a long time.
The Italian platter features four classic appetizers, Parmesan ham, salami, cheese and prosciutto, which are savoury and generous, served with foie gras and pickled cucumber to ease the greasy meats. Dubbed "Oily Spicy Pizza" by diners, the Hot Godfather Pizza is a thin, crispy dough covered with bacon and spicy sauce, and is a specially tailored meal for Shaanxi diners. Mun's homemade yogurt is sticky, sour, and a great addition to a mix of fruits and nuts.
The restaurant occupies a detached garden building in the middle of the street, surrounded by lawns, like a private estate. Designed in the Italian Renaissance style, the interior is richly decorated and colorful, with fountains, Roman columns, sculptures and minarets, and a number of classic paintings to create a unique artistic atmosphere. The service staff is attentive and enthusiastic, and the customer's questions are answered, but the response time will be reduced during peak periods.
