Shuijungang Kindergarten was built in 1987 and is a full-time public kindergarten, directly under the Yuexiu District Education Bureau, which is a first-class kindergarten in Guangdong Province, a green kindergarten in Guangdong Province, and a standardized kindergarten in Guangzhou. In 2018, the Guangzhou Municipal Education Bureau, the Political and Legal Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, and the Municipal Public Security Bureau approved and awarded the title of "Guangzhou Safe and Civilized Campus" to Shuijungang Kindergarten.
Shuijungang Kindergarten Park is small but well-equipped. The kindergarten covers an area of only 1,400 square meters, the building area of 2,600 square meters, the park has 807 square meters of outdoor activity venues, set up with a 30-meter straight track, outdoor venues are equipped with large climbing equipment suitable for children's age characteristics and various forms of sports equipment, can meet the needs of children to participate in outdoor sports and exercise. The kindergarten is equipped with a multi-functional music room, a multimedia classroom, a comprehensive game room, a library, an art room, a conference room and other special function rooms, and all rooms have been covered with video surveillance and network. There are 6 classes in the kindergarten, 2 small classes, 2 middle classes and 2 large classes, and the number of people in each class is about 25 people, and each class is also equipped with piano, projection, tape recorder and other equipment.
The kindergarten advocates the education method of children's close to nature, integrates the theme of environmental education with children's independent games, festival courses, mixed-age education and parent resources, and carries out special activities such as "environmental protection festival" and "mixed-age environmental protection game workshop" to meet the needs of children's participatory independent learning. The environmental protection festival of Shuijungang Kindergarten is unique and has been successfully held for three times. During the festival, children and parents will go into nature together to enhance parent-child relationship through hands-on activities, and the class will also set up different themed activities such as sketching "walking into nature", making "plant specimen paintings" and finding "my animal friends".
However, due to the limitation of the site, the number of new students enrolled in Shuijungang Kindergarten is about 50 every year, with a total of 2 classes, and the computer lottery accounts for 90%. Every year, there will be a middle class or large class transfer place, as long as it is a household registration in Yuexiu District and is a school-age child, you can sign up, but the number of transfer places is also about 10.
