BAIC Weiwang is a new micro-passenger product launched by BAIC Group in 2015, compared with Wuling, the boss of the micro-noodle industry, BAIC Weiwang is an out-and-out young brand.

 

BAIC's current engine is much more advanced than the previous Changhe M50. The M30 uses a 1.5L engine from Dongan Power, and the M30 after the new engine is equipped with a more complete power, acceleration and fuel economy are not worse than those of Wuling Hongguang S. But the experience of the 5-speed manual transmission above Weiwang is very unsatisfactory, the gears are blurry and there is no sense of inhalation, and every time you change gears, you almost need to look down to confirm whether it is hooked up. The drivetrain is very noisy, including the sound of the gearbox and propeller shaft, which reverberates through the cabin with the engine noise every time you step on it, and although the Wuling Hongguang S can't eliminate this noise, it is much more convergent than the M30.

 

As a car that needs to take care of both people and cargo, the seats of the M30 are basically not ergonomic. The waist is too far forward by the cushion, the cushion is too thin, and the comfort of sitting for a long time is worrying. As for the rear seats, Weiwang provides a lot of space for passengers, and can even lie down half-lying, but most parts of the body are not effectively supported. The exterior of the Vivan uses a lot of chrome accents, which looks a little more grand than the Wuling, and there are almost no embellishments in the cabin. On the center console, the size of the display screen also exceeds that of Wuling Hongguang, but the use effect has been abandoned, no matter what the weather, there is a whitening phenomenon on the screen.

 

In terms of quality, because there is a certain gap in the technical details of Weiwang M30 compared with Wuling Hongguang S, the reliability will not be as good as the latter.

 

The Wewang M30 does not provide airbags in all models, and is only available as an option on two high-end models, and the anti-lock braking system and brake-force distribution system are also only available on high-end models. However, it provides child safety seat interfaces and seat belt unfastened prompts, which is a more conscientious configuration.
