Volkswagen Sharan 200,000 MPV product evaluation

The Volkswagen Sharan is a seven-seater MPV that combines fuel economy and handling, but due to pricing errors and other reasons, Volkswagen Shalan's market share has been sluggish.

The Sharan itself weighs more than 1.8 tons, which is heavier than the BMW 520Li. In actual operation, the working ability of the DSG gearbox has been fully proven, so that the 1.4T engine does not have the feeling of a small horse-drawn cart at all in the initial stage. Although Sharon's ability to speed up on the highway is mundane and the engine noise can be heard, this is more than enough for a family MPV. Sharon's suspension behaves a lot like the Passat in the real world, as long as it's not on a country road, the chassis won't be easily irritated, and the toughness is outstanding.

Whether it is size or texture, compared to the Tiguan L, the Sharan is superior. The last row of Sharan are two independent small seats, the length of the seat cushion and the height of the backrest are smaller than the second row of seats, which is easy to get tired when sitting for a long time, and due to the large size of the seats, Sharon's storage space has been deprived a lot. Fortunately, unlike the 2-2-3 layout of the general MPV three-row seats, the second row of the Sharan has three seats placed side by side, and the ride comfort is much higher than that of the third row, and the second row is designed to try to reduce the usage rate of the third row. The main change to the cockpit is the addition of Volkswagen's MIB multimedia system. Compared with Volkswagen's previous RNS system, the sense of technology has been significantly improved.

The powertrain of the Volkswagen Sharan has not changed significantly in terms of technology, so the reliability is still not optimistic. Safety is a sight to behold, with the Volkswagen Sharon receiving a 5-star rating in the E-NCAP crash test, with protection rates of 96% and 80% for adult and child passengers, and the British car magazine Auto Express described its safety technology as "incredible".
