JAC Refine M3 100,000-MPV product evaluation

The Refine M3 is the latest MPV from JAC Refine Group. The Refine M3 is positioned between the M2 and the Refine M2, a sedan-like MPV similar to the Nissan Liwei, and the Refine M3 is the smallest "van" in the JAC formation.
 
The Refine M3 is available in 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter displacements, both mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine belongs to the "Green Jet" series independently developed by JAC, which is technically all-aluminum structure with dual variable valve technology. The 1.6-liter engine is a bit inadequate for this 1.7-ton MPV. As soon as the engine exceeds 3,000 rpm, the sound suddenly becomes loud and hoarse, and due to the lack of sound insulation materials, passengers can even judge the change in the driver's right foot movement by the sound. The acceleration is not fast, but it is not a big problem to meet the demand in the urban area. After getting to the highway, the corresponding speed of 80km/h is 2500 rpm, which is not particularly high compared with the sedan, but at this time, the engine noise and wind noise in the cabin have already been mixed together, and the voice must be raised to talk, and the frustrated exhaust has become a pain to breathe.
 
Due to the use of the traditional integral axle and leaf spring rear suspension, the center of gravity of the Ruifeng M3 is obviously high, even if it is cruising on the highway, it will continue to shake, when encountering the potholes that cannot be avoided, the degree of throwing and jumping of the body is very large, and it is simply unable to adapt to the complex road conditions of the third and fourth tier cities.
 
From the outside, the traces of the JAC Refine M3 imitating the Nissan NV200 are obvious. At the same time, JAC Refine M3 also transplanted the Nissan NV200's narrow rear visibility intact, regardless of the exterior and interior rearview mirrors when reversing, it will be blocked by the rear of the car, and it is difficult to reverse into the garage without the help of the rearview camera. MPVs usually don't have to worry about the seating space, and the Refine M3 is no exception, but unfortunately, even in the higher-spec 2.0L model, there are still no hand rests on either side of the independent seats in the middle row, and the low-end integrated seats do not have any adjustment function.
 
The Refine M3 also did not participate in the crash test, and the main and auxiliary airbags are not standard in the whole system, as a model with a starting price of more than 70,000 yuan, its safety configuration is disappointing.
