BAIC Phantom is a young independent brand, with sales exceeding 640,000 units so far.

 

Originally, the Phantom H3 also used a front-wheel drive platform. Later, the H3F was introduced, where the "F" is the abbreviation of front, which means front-wheel drive. Replaced with the front and rear drive H3F does not have a front-to-rear drive shaft, the vibration and noise of the drive shaft are naturally gone, only the engine is solo, and the environment of the rear seats is much quieter than before. The suspension of the Phantom H3F is on the stiff side, which is in stark contrast to the soft chassis of the Baojun 730. After the speed bump, the small parts in the H3F compartment will vibrate more obviously, but the speed is fast, the road is bad, and when you cross the big pothole, you feel very solid, and the sound of the pit also has a good sense of thickness.

 

After switching to front-wheel drive, the matching degree of the whole vehicle is far from keeping up. The raised space reserved for the front drive axle on the front platform was still there, and the first two rows of passengers had to sit in a "squatting position". And when driving long distances, the temperature of the floor will increase significantly. There is a protruding scuff strip next to the door, which is easy for passengers to touch when getting on and off the bus, and many first-time passengers will be burned untouched by the friction strip due to the chassis temperature conduction to the scuff strip. The third row of the Phantom Speed is a typical micro-facet style, and if you want to fit large items, you can only choose to disassemble it, although the body size is large, but the Phantom Speed is not a model with strong functionality and convenience in its class.

 

The H3F claims to be the first model in its class to be equipped with a panoramic sunroof, but this sunroof has obviously not yet reached the level of panoramic views, and can only take into account the overhead of the first and second rows, and the third row can only be viewed from a distance. Luckily, the air conditioning has been moved back as a result, and although there are only five air conditioning vents, passengers in the third row don't have to worry about running out of cold air.

 

Compared with the products of BAIC Phantom Speed and first-line independent brands, such as Baojun 730 and Changan Auchan, the biggest gap is not machinery, but detail workmanship, and there are many imperfections. Fuel tank knocking, abnormal window noise and other faults plague many car owners during the warranty period, and the most serious thing is that many car owners' gearboxes can only last for one year and are close to scrapping.

 

In terms of safety configuration, BAIC Phantom Speed H3 is equipped with rear parking radar as standard, and provides reversing video images for consumers to choose, which is also affordable for a car of about 100,000 yuan.
