Venucia has changed from the original Dongfeng Nissan Venucia to the current Dongfeng Venucia, that is to say, Venucia is no longer a joint venture, but a completely independent brand. The M50V is Dongfeng Venucia's first MPV model.
The Venucia M50V is derived from the Nissan B platform, which gave birth to the Liwei, Marchi, and NV200. The rear suspension of the M50V uses coil springs instead of the leaf springs found on the NV200. In addition, the M50V chassis does not see the lateral reinforcement on the NV200, so it seems that the Venucia M50V does not consider the cargo needs and puts ride comfort in the first place. For independent brands, automatic transmission has always been a huge pain point, and the Venucia M50V directly transplants Nissan's 1.6-liter engine and continuously variable transmission combination. Although the performance of this system is not good in the foreign camp, the biggest disadvantage is that the engine speed is not proportional to the acceleration, and the automatic transmission itself will reduce work efficiency, and the body will have a strong sense of vibration when climbing, but in the independent brand, the driving experience brought by this automatic transmission system occupies an obvious advantage.
In terms of interior, the M50V adopts a 2 2 3 seat layout, with the first two rows of seats being relatively wide and having a certain lateral wrap. The driver's seat can be folded down 180° with the headrest removed and connected to the rear seat cushion to form a single bed, which is rarely used. The M50V leaves plenty of room for the passenger's legs and head, but it's far from refined in detail. The second row of the platform has a high protrusion, and the aisle leading to the third row has a drop of nearly 10 centimeters from the platform, and you may trip if you are not careful.
In terms of in-car convenience, the Venucia M50V's performance is reluctant. The Venucia M50V's door panel doesn't have a lot of storage space, especially in the second row, which can only fit relatively flat things. Since there is no front center armrest box, four cup holders and a storage slot are designed in the handbrake position. Only the front seat passengers can use the USB port, and there is less care for the second and third row passengers. In terms of folding the third-row seats, it only supports the overall reclining, and cannot be separated and folded, which is slightly worse in terms of trunk space expansion.
The configuration of the Venucia M50V is slightly shabby, even if it is the top model, it is not even equipped with keyless entry, one-button start, body stability control system, leather steering wheel and electric sunroof, etc., which has a certain gap with the mainstream configuration of the same price.
Due to the direct use of Nissan's engine and gearbox, the M50V's powertrain will have a relatively reliable quality performance. There are still a lot of rough elements in other details, so the reliability of the vehicle needs to be further polished by the market.
In terms of safety configuration, Venucia M50V is equipped with main and auxiliary airbags, brake force distribution and brake assist as standard, and also provides a panoramic camera and rear reversing radar in the optional package, which is not lost in the independent brand at the price of 7~90,000 yuan.
