Buick Encorre non-luxury brand mid-to-large SUV product review

The Buick Encorley is an SUV based on a sedan-based design. Unlike its older brothers, GMC Arcadia and Chevrolet Traverse, quiet and comfortable, able to sit and install is an important magic weapon for it to expand the market. But at the same time, the shortcomings of the new generation of Encres are no less significant.

The imported Encore for the Chinese market is only available with a 3.6-litre V6 engine. In terms of quick steering feedback, the Encore even outperforms many of GM's own sedans, and after the U.S. "Consumer Reports" test, the electronic stability system on the Encore performs very well, and the driver can calmly avoid sudden obstacles. Encorre's acceleration performance has been criticized, in 2009, Buick increased the horsepower of Encorre to 288, but the whole vehicle is not enough to match, there will be a significant head rise when accelerating, and then the whole body seems to be dragged by a few small mustangs, impatiently rushed out.

Consumer Reports says it's rare for an SUV to make the second- and third-row seats comfortable at the same time, but Oncorre did. Especially the third-row passengers, it's like sitting in an MPV. The Encorre is not as smooth as the GMC sedan, but at least it doesn't bump the passengers with every heave, and the noise is kept to a reasonable level. The driver's position is spacious, and the higher seat also provides good forward visibility, however, the backrest and headrest that are too low to support long journeys are difficult to support, and the knob on the center console is far away from the driver. Probably to fight for space, the rear windshield of the Encorre is small, and it is difficult for the driver to see through the rearview mirror whether there is a tailgating vehicle, but the Encorre added a rearview camera function in 2009 to make up for this shortcoming.

GM's cars have been of poor quality, especially in Ancorre. Many of the air conditioners in Encorre are close to being scrapped after two years, and the failures of the more than five-year-old Encorre in terms of suspension, engine, and transmission will explode. If you have already bought Encorre, be prepared to deal with 4S stores for a long time.

In terms of safety, Buick Envision participated in IIHS tests in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013, and was rated as the highest safety level of its own car: TSP. However, in 2017, it did not win the award because it did not participate in the more stringent frontal small-angle crash test, which did not meet the highest safety standards.
