The Tiggo 7 is a new car that follows a completely forward development process, which is fundamentally different from the Tiggo 5 and Tiggo 3 (which are reversed from the Toyota RAV4). The Tiggo 7 is based on Chery's new platform, so whether it is the exterior, interior, powertrain or chassis, it represents Chery's current best car manufacturing level, and Chery has repeatedly emphasized before the release that it is a competitor to Korean cars such as Tucson and IX35.
 
The Tiggo 7 was mainly promoted in the early stage of the 1.5T manual transmission and 2.0L CVT version, Chery's power system is not only the leader of the CVT power system in the Chinese brand car, even if it is placed in the entire Chinese brand automatic transmission camp, its performance is also in the highest gear. The power on the Tiggo 7 is smoother than the previous Tiggo 5, the throttle response is faster, and the 2.0L engine, although not as explosive as the turbo engines in its class, is completely sufficient for the Tiggo 7.
 
Tiggo 7 handling and GS4 are in the highest gear of domestic cars, the whole car feels very solid, much like an SUV with European blood, and the previous Chery, Tiggo 7 chassis feedback on road information is also more direct, more direct than CS75 and GS4, but when going to bad roads at a faster speed, it seems very resilient and confident.

In terms of quality, Chery conducted 105 failures in JD power (China)'s 2015 annual survey of 100 new vehicles. The industry averages 108 times, which is not a great result for an "old-fashioned" car manufacturer.
 
In terms of safety, after Geely challenged the real car collision, the Tiggo 7 also "added tests" in C-NCAP itself, setting up a real car serial rear-end collision test, in this test, the Tiggo 7 passed the whipping test equivalent to the E-NCAP standard, and the detonation point of the airbag is also very reasonable. Although the value of this trial remains to be studied, Chery's willingness to design such a test itself shows Chery's pursuit of safety and confidence in its products.
 
Like the previous Chery, the Tiggo 7 is a car with excellent mechanical quality and a focus on driving quality. Chery has never been good at stacking configuration and selling space, it has only caught up with the mainstream pace in terms of configuration and space, and is a personality player in the domestic car camp.
