Like many of Changan's new cars in recent years, the CS75 was designed at Changan's European Design Center, and it chose the Frankfurt Motor Show as its premiere location.
CS75 IS EQUIPPED WITH CHANGAN'S BLUE CORE SERIES ENGINE, WITH 2.0L NATURALLY ASPIRATED AND 1.5T, 1.8T TURBOCHARGED A TOTAL OF THREE POWER CONFIGURATIONS, OF WHICH THE 1.5T VERSION WAS NOT ON THE MARKET UNTIL 2016, CS75 HAS ONLY HAD TWO DISPLACEMENTS OF 1.8 AND 2.0 FOR A LONG TIME, BOTH OF WHICH CANNOT ENJOY TAX INCENTIVES, BUT IT HAS ALWAYS SOLD WELL.
The chassis of the CS75 is slightly stiffer, but because of the thick tires, it is not less comfortable in everyday road conditions, and the suspension is gentle and fast at low and medium speeds. However, after the speed of the car is fast, I feel that the chassis is still a little exposed, especially when cornering quickly, the body roll is large, and the tires feel blurred. Another advantage of the CS75 is that it doesn't jump into the pit of the dual-clutch transmission, and its 1.8T turbocharged version is equipped with a 6-speed automatic manual transmission, which is the smoothest and easiest to drive in its class.
Changan may be the car company with the fastest improvement in the quality of car manufacturing in China in recent years, starting from Changan Yidong, the new cars launched by Changan have a very high level in terms of chassis, power smoothness and driving quietness. The driving quality of this CS is top-notch among Chinese brands, but its power is a drag on the handling, whether it is the 1.8T turbocharged that was launched in the early stage or the 1.5T power added by the 2016 facelift, the 0-100KM acceleration time is more than 11 seconds.
Compared with several major competitors in its class, the CS75 has an overall advantage in body size and wheelbase, but from the measured space data, although the CS75 has a larger body and a longer wheelbase than its rivals, its interior space, especially the rear legroom, lags behind several major rivals. Fortunately, the ride comfort of CS75 is still very guaranteed, the shape and support of CS75 seats are qualified, and the adjustable range of rear backrests is also relatively large. Despite the high sitting position, there is plenty of headroom in the front row, and the lateral space is also very good due to the wide body.
Except for the lowest 2.0L model, all other models of CS75 are equipped with ESP, front dual airbags, front side airbags, side curtains and other safety equipment as standard, and the sincerity is still relatively sufficient. Compared to its autonomous SUV rivals in this price range, the CS75 is not the most well-equipped, but its equipment is very practical, and many details are very user-friendly.
In terms of quality, Changan's quality reputation is already first-class among Chinese brands, according to statistics, the main quality complaints of users about CS75 are concentrated in brake noise and chassis noise. The second is the exterior of the body, including door deformation, squeak and tightness. Except for the body accessories, all indicators are relatively balanced. Among them, the proportion of paint bubbles, cracks and body rust complaints is high.
According to Changan, according to their own internal tests, the CS75's crash score can reach the four-star level of EURO NCAP. After its launch in China, the CS75 participated in the fourth batch of C-NCAP crash tests in 2014 and received a 5-star safety rating, and also received a high score of 59.0 points.
