Acura is a luxury brand launched by Honda in the United States, and among the major Japanese luxury brands, Acura is undoubtedly the most unknown in China. Due to the similar chassis structure to the Binzhi, the CDX is often referred to as the "high-end Binzhi" or even the "Pull-up Fit", but in fact, the CDX is Honda's grafting on many of their products in the Chinese market: its chassis prototype comes from the Binzhi but has undergone a deep transformation and added variable suspension; The three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox are from Spiri; The clever front storage comes from the Xr-V; Shift-by-wire is the same as the crown road, and the CDX is far from being matched by all current Honda cars in terms of the quality of the interior and the creation of a driving atmosphere.
 
The Acura CDX uses a 1.5T engine and 8DCT gearbox, the 1.5T Honda Earth Dream engine is more aggressively tuned than the Civic, with a maximum torque of 240Nm, and the transmission can be called a combination of the advantages of a smooth start of the torque converter and fast dual-clutch shifts. This power combination has achieved a good balance between comfort and explosiveness, and there is basically no frustration and powerlessness in low-speed creeping in urban congestion conditions, and the ultra-high shift efficiency can make the CDX's 0-100KM acceleration performance reach the level of the Audi Q3 2.0T model.
 
Although the CDX does not use the independent suspension commonly used in its class, its semi-independent suspension is equipped with variable damping, which is more expensive than ordinary independent suspension, and this set of suspension is used to save space in the cabin, make the rear seat more comfortable, and provide better practicality than other models in the same class.
 
The CDX also fully expresses the high quality of a luxury car in terms of ride texture, its chassis is thick, and the styling is adjustable, the Honda has always been considered to have stiff suspension, but the comfort mode it offers is actually very flexible. The driving quietness is not inferior to that of competitors such as BMW X1 and Audi Q3. CDX has done a lot of work to create a sense of luxury, its central control design is very exquisite, and the rear row can provide a ride experience similar to two independent seats, although its volume and wheelbase are not outstanding, but the space and comfort of the rear row really achieve the ultimate level of this level.
 
The Acura CDX is an SUV that has truly studied the preferences of Chinese consumers. It can be said that it demonstrates the correct way to open the combination of a small-displacement supercharged engine and a dual-clutch transmission, which is so popular in the Chinese market, and it also provides additional space and rear comfort that are rare in other places. Acura has set a goal of 10,000 units a year for the CDX, which is very low-key compared to the quality of the car.
 
In terms of quality, Acura does not have any valuable reliability data in China, with 129 failures per 100 new cars in JD power North America's 2016 survey, far lower than the industry average of 152. In terms of safety, the Acura CDX received only a four-star rating in China's C-NCAP crash tests, but as the first model in the Chinese market, it has not yet participated in the higher standards of European and American crash tests. The Honda Binz received only an "acceptable" rating in frontal small-angle collisions and side impacts at the IIHS in the United States, and Acura was born out of the Binzhi, so we think its safety remains to be seen at this time.
