After Toyota launched the TNGA architecture, the first model was the eighth-generation Camry, and the second model was a small SUV called C-HR. The name C-HR has several meanings, namely Compact High Rider, Cross Hatch Run or Coupé High Rider, and although it is divided into the SUV category, it would be more appropriate to think of it as a crossover. The C-HR was already on display at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016 and began to be sold in other regions, while the Chinese market was officially launched in June 2018.
 
Guangfeng C-HR and Yifeng Yize are not very different in terms of price range, but Guangfeng has launched 8 configurations, while Yifeng only has 3 configurations, Guangfeng C-HR has one more set of original appearance kits, which is 3000 yuan more expensive than the ordinary version, in addition, Guangfeng C-HR has more choices in terms of color matching, although C-HR and Yize are sister models, but C-HR provides more choices, obviously more advantages.
 
The C-HR sold in China has only one powertrain, the same as the North American version, which is the 2.0L Dynamic Force Engine codenamed M20A-FKS, paired with a new Toyota Direct shift CVT transmission, while in other countries and regions, the 1.2T turbo engine is paired with a CVT transmission and a 1.8L hybrid version.
 
The M20A engine has a maximum horsepower of 171 hp, while the US version is tuned to 144 hp, and the Mazda CX-3 in the same class is also powered by a 2.0-liter self-aspirated engine with only 148 hp. In terms of data, the power of the C-HR should be stronger than that of the CX-3, but the C-HR's zero hundred score is slower than that of the CX-3, and the reason can only be attributed to Toyota's new gearbox, because it is an analog 10-speed CVT, and there will be a traditional starting gear meshing when starting, and after the start is completed, it will be converted to the traditional CVT gearbox, and there will be a short lack of power in this conversion process. The manual mode of the C-HR CVT gearbox is very tolerant, the speed can be pulled to more than 6000 rpm, and the speed of shifting is also very fast, and the speed can respond at the moment of shifting, although adding 10 simulated gears to the CVT is quite a chicken behavior, and few drivers can cope with 10 gears, but Toyota can do this while ensuring fuel economy, but also taking into account the driving pleasure, which is also a reasonable idea.
 
The exterior design of the C-HR is very aggressive and eye-catching, but the interior is much less attractive, only the top configuration will have leather imitation leather seats, and the rest are fabric seats. Fabric seats have their advantages, good breathability, warm in winter and cool in summer, but for domestic consumers, leather seats are obviously more attractive, even if it is just artificial leather, they feel that it is better than fabric.
 
The C-HR is a tough slate, with quite little storage space in the car, with only two cup holders near the center console and a little storage space in the armrest box, and not enough storage space on the door panels. The ride space is not actually a shortcoming of the C-HR, but it is not as spacious as the Honda Binzhi, and only two adults of normal height can be seated in the back. The rear row of the C-HR always gives people a small feeling, in fact, the main reason is that the rear windows are particularly small for the body shape, and the C-HR does not have a sunroof, so the atmosphere in the rear row is very oppressive, giving people the impression of a prison cell. The C-HR's tail box is also quite cramped, and it can only fit small suitcases.
 
The C-HR has not yet participated in the IIHS crash test, but it has already participated in the European E-NCAP crash test, receiving a 5-star rating and a high score of 95 points for member protection, making it a safe enough model.
