President of Maserati Large Sedan product review

As with all Italian crafts, the Maserati President's look will turn heads, but we advise you not to be fooled by its flashy appearance.

The Maserati President is a model with a bad fate. In the 60s of the last century, the newly born president of Maserati became synonymous with "luxury four-door sedan" for a while, and the Italian prime minister and senior government officials chose Maserati president as their car. During the oil crisis, Maserati was on the verge of bankruptcy and became a subsidiary of Fiat Automobilia. The seventh-generation Maserati president walked off the production line in 2016 and borrowed a lot of the technology from the Maserati Levante SUV.

Maserati President has supplied the Chinese market with a four-horsepower 3.0T engine, and the acceleration time of 5.17 seconds to 100 km/h is enough to make you feel confident, although it may not be really used for a few days, and the Skyhook dampers will make the 19-inch wheels pop even in normal mode. Sport mode increases suspension stiffness, speeds up throttle response, quickens shifts and opens the exhaust valve, but Maserati's active sound system is more like the sound of mechanical wear than an exhilarating exhaust sound. The Maserati president has a 50:50 weight distribution and rear-wheel drive, so the Maserati president is fairly agile in handling and still gives some confidence when cornering sharply.

The American "Consumer Reports" commented on the design concept of the president of Maserati: The president of Maserati is a conformist luxury car, which is seriously influenced by the Mercedes-Benz S-class. Ironically, the latest generation of Maserati presidents has taken a step closer to "simplicity".

In terms of luxury design concept, Maserati is almost led by Mercedes-Benz, but even if it is imitated, it is far from Mercedes-Benz. Like the smaller Maserati Ghibli, the Maserati president shares a platform with the Chrysler 300, and the concept is very similar to that of the 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Although it has the same spacious ride as other flagship sedans, the Maserati president lacks the comfort of Mercedes and Lexus, and it is not quiet. The president has a lot of storage space, but most of them are very small, for example, mineral water cannot be put on the door panel, and the armrest box is only a very shallow plane. The Maserati President's standard equipment includes eight-way adjustable power seats, ambient lighting and adaptive cruise control, which compares to the luxury competitors on the market.

In terms of quality, Consumer Reports did not follow up on the individual components of the Maserati president. As far as the Chrysler 300 on the same platform is concerned, the main components such as the gearbox and circuit system can last for two or three years at most, and the overall quality level is average. And Ghibli, which is more closely related to the president, is expected by Consumer Reports to be the least reliable.

In terms of safety, the Maserati president also did not take part in the crash test, but no one would consider it unsafe.
