For nearly half a century, Mercedes-Benz's flagship S-Class has been the benchmark for "luxury", and with each successive generation, it brings the most popular technological features of the moment and takes luxury to a new level. Although the Mercedes-Benz S-Class focuses on luxury and space, it does not sacrifice handling. Mercedes-Benz also launched a plug-in hybrid version of the model S500, Mercedes-Benz claims that the fuel consumption of this model is less than 3 liters per 100 kilometers, but how meaningful is this European-style fuel consumption algorithm that uses up electricity and then uses oil?
 
According to the American "Consumer Reports", there is no model that can compare with the comfort of the latest two generations of Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Suede headrests, perfume sprays, everything is very much in line with the prestige of the S-class "top". The optional Rear Seat Comfort Package allows passengers to move from an upright sitting position to a semi-reclining position, with soft pillows and leg rests for maximum comfort. The rear seat entertainment system is standard, and it feels great to watch mobile broadcast TV (CMMB TV), videos, listen to music, and more. Like many large cars, functions such as seat back adjustment need to be done by the driver, but Mercedes has not been inspired by the design of the center console, leaving both the driver and passengers complaining, even if the owner is willing to pay for a top-of-the-line version, it will not be much different.
 
In terms of chassis technology, for the first time, the new S-Class has been equipped with the "Magic Body Control System", a suspension control system that actively predicts and reacts to the road ahead. The smooth and quiet cruising sensation allows rear passengers to sleep quietly. When driving into congested roads, the system seems to be panicked, but instead transmits all the frustration caused by the constant start and stop to the back seat. Consumer Reports believes that the comfort level is not as good as not having the system.
 
The gorgeous Mercedes-Benz S-Class is actually very strong on the outside. Consumer Reports considers it to be the least reliable in its projections. After five years of driving in the previous generation S-Class, there were large-scale failures such as the inability to shift gears and the failure of the brake electronic sensor. It is precisely because of the quality problem that the residual value rate of the second-hand car of this million-level luxury car is about to be reduced to the dust.
 
In terms of safety, since the S-Class did not participate in any crash tests, but Mercedes-Benz's safety performance is consistently excellent among German cars, and its buyers do not need to worry about safety.
