From the point of view of appearance, the size difference between Huiang and Phaeton is not big, the length of the car is 10 cm shorter than that of Phaeton, but the car height is 4 cm higher, the biggest difference between the two appears in the design style, Huiang uses Volkswagen's previously released C Coupe concept car as the prototype, there will be more lines on the body, it looks like the current A6, and Phaeton is much more rounded, obviously with the taste of the previous generation of Volkswagen models.
The low-spec model uses the EA888 vortex engine with the DL382 seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, and the high-spec model uses the EA837 supercharged V6 engine with the DL501 seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The fuel consumption performance of the V6 engine is not particularly good, and the comprehensive fuel consumption of Huiang is basically maintained at about 11 liters per 100 kilometers.
Huiang adopts the chassis of the previous generation A6, with five links in the front and a trapezoidal multi-link in the rear, and the V6 model is equipped with a full-time four-wheel drive system as standard, and the central differential is Torsen-style, and it is also equipped with air suspension as standard, with adjustable height and softness and hardness, and five modes to choose from. This set of air suspension will add a lot of points to the shock filtration performance, because the low-end model uses a spring to absorb the shock, which is soft for daily driving, and the air suspension can avoid this problem and improve adaptability.
The sound insulation and quietness of Huiang are actually very good, the engine noise and wind noise are well isolated, and the V6 model will use double-layer laminated glass, which also improves the sound insulation performance. The biggest impact on the quietness of the cabin is the tires, because the V6 model is equipped with Michelin PS3 as standard, this set of tires is biased towards performance, there are deficiencies in quietness, and tire noise is more obvious.
The center console of Huiang, like other Volkswagen, does not have much sense of design, but it is very easy to use on a daily basis and does not have too high learning costs. Compared to other Volkswagen models, the workmanship of the Fion is very commendable, with slush molding stitching in visible places, leather wrapping in invisible places, and soft materials on both sides of the center console to prevent knees from hitting the center console. The seats have some quilted stitching, and the headrests of the high-end models have side wing clamping, which has a good sense of quality. Among the several interior colors of the Huiang, the light-colored accessories have the best appearance but are not resistant to dirt, and the black interior, although much more low-key, does not need to be taken care of.
The rear seat of Huiang is very good, first of all, it is high enough, the V6 model has electric adjustment of the rear seats, the backrest angle and leg rest can be adjusted, the sitting position is also high enough, the back and legs have enough support, and the field of vision is also very wide. The comfort features heated and ventilated seats, as well as massage functions, which are only available on the Audi A6. There is even a Xiaoice box in the back, which is not found in the top of the A6 model.
In terms of reliability, Huiang's complaints mainly appear in the 2.0T model, and there is a small chance of transmission oil leakage, while the V6 model has fewer complaints, and there is no high incidence of failure in the three major parts.
In terms of safety, the MLB platform has not participated in crash tests and will not give too low safety expectations unless there is a serious safety hazard.
