The CT6 is Cadillac's flagship sedan launched in 2016, the full name is the Cadillac Touring 6, and its price is in the same class as the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class, but the size is between them and the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. In 2019, the CT6 received a mid-cycle facelift, with significant changes in the powertrain, exterior, and interior.
 
In terms of powertrain, the 2.0T model before the facelift used the LTG engine with a Hydra-Matic 8L45 8-speed automatic manual transmission, while the facelift is still a 2.0T engine, but the model has been changed to LSY, the peak torque platform has been widened from 3000-4300 rpm in LTG to 1500-4000 rpm, and the maximum horsepower has been lowered from 276 hp to 241 hp, while supporting closed-cylinder technology and Tripower variable valve management technology. In terms of transmission, the 2.0T model will be changed from 8L45 to 10L90, and the 3.0T model will also be equipped with the 10L90.
 
This time, the facelift has completely changed in terms of powertrain, it is not an exaggeration to say that it is a generation, the previous set of 2.0T 8AT power response will be a little slow, and the power output will have a small burst after the turbine establishes positive pressure, and the power output is not linear enough. After replacing the 10AT, the gear ratio is more dense, and the peak torque of the engine is advanced to 1500 rpm, and the feeling of turbo lag in daily driving is not obvious, and the power will follow a lot. As for the power reduction, it will have a certain impact, the 000 acceleration time has changed from 6.6 seconds before the facelift to 7.4 seconds, which is nearly 1 second slower, and the CT6 can't be considered a slow car, it's just that it's not fast enough now.
 
CT6 adopts the general Omega platform, front double wishbones, rear multi-link, 2.0T models are unified as front rear drive, active steering system and electromagnetic induction suspension are only available on high-end models, these two configurations have a significant role in improving driving quality, there are and no two different models, it is recommended to buy high-end models.
 
On the road, the CT6 can provide good quietness for the front seats, and the only slot is that the automatic start-stop function is relatively dynamic and rough when it is started. The ride comfort of the rear row is much worse than that of the front row, the wind noise of the triangular window near the C-pillar is more obvious, the sound insulation effect of the wheel arch part is poor, and there is often the sound of fine gravel hitting the wheel arch.
 
The CT6 has not changed much in terms of interior, more of a software update, and the previous touchpad operation was not intuitive enough, so the rotary knob control was used after the facelift. The CT6's center console is still a problem from the past, the right side of the touch screen is too far away from the driver, and it is often necessary to lean forward to reach it, even if it is controlled remotely with a knob, the screen angle is not very friendly to the driver. The biggest advantage of the front row of CT6 is that the armrest box has a special place for mobile phones, which supports wireless charging, and it is very convenient to pick up and place mobile phones.
 
The front seats are very comfortable, with more adjustment angles, and the high-end models support 14-way adjustment. There is no problem with the rear seat space, but there are many problems with the seat itself, the length of the cushion is short, and the height is not enough, resulting in insufficient support in the front of the thighs.
