TLX-L has only one powertrain, that is, the 2.4L Earth Dream naturally aspirated engine codenamed K24W7, paired with Honda's exclusive 8-speed dual-clutch, this dual-clutch is the same model on CDX and Spiri Si, the shift is fast and smooth, and the tolerance is also quite high, allowing continuous downshifts to maintain the rpm in a relatively high area. This set of powertrain is not the first time it has appeared, it is such a powertrain on the Si Primitive, it is very mature, and the whole driving experience is very good, but Acura as a luxury brand, TLX-L and Spiri have not opened up the gap, which is also a very embarrassing point.
TLX-L's chassis is made of a lot of materials, which is also where it and Honda open up the gap, the domestic Accord has canceled the steel and aluminum hybrid subframe, while the TLX-L has been retained intact, and gaskets have also been added in many link positions, which has significantly improved the driving texture. The TLX-L's suspension tuning is on the soft side, ensuring comfort on a daily basis, but it can provide enough support when cornering, and this tuning is advanced, which is no longer described simply by soft and hard.
TLX-L has PAWS four-wheel precision steering system and rear-wheel steering, but it must be assembled in the sub-top configuration or above, this system is not to say how high the technical content, but it does improve the driving quality of the TLX-L, especially in corners, with the assistance of this system, you will not feel that the TLX-L is a car with a wheelbase of 2.9 meters, and the whole action is quite agile and stable.
The interior of the TLX-L is too plain, although the workmanship and texture are very good, but after the CDX came out, the modernity of the CDX is too strong, and in contrast, the interior of the TLX-L is very outdated. The wheelbase of the TLX-L has been lengthened, which greatly improves the longitudinal space of the rear row, but the performance of the headroom is still relatively poor, passengers with a height of about 180, the hair may rub slightly against the roof, the lateral space in the rear row is originally enough to sit three adults, but the middle seat is very prominent, whether it is a cushion or a backrest, so it is impossible to fill three adults in the rear, Acura wanted to make it a four-seater car from the beginning.
