The Mondeo performed well in all crash tests, and it didn't make it the top safety car for the IIHS, simply because it still has a gap in active safety features compared to its rivals, but it's still a safety car to be trusted. In China's C-NCAP crash test, the Mondeo 2.0L Fashion received a 5-star rating in the third batch of tests in 2014, with an overall score of 57 points.
