Mazda3 Ankesaila flagship 150,000 yuan sedan product evaluation

The Mazda3 Ankesaila is a new model released by Mazda in Japan in 2003, and it is currently on sale as its third-generation model, and its domestic version was introduced to the market by Changan Mazda in May 2014.

The Mazda3 Ankesaila is Mazda's third production model to adopt SKYACTIV technology after the Mazda CX-5 and Mazda 6Atenza. SKYACTIV Technology is a technology proposed by Mazda Motor Corporation in 2010 to comprehensively optimize the engine, transmission, chassis, and body structure of its vehicles. This technology aims to achieve both driving pleasure and environmental protection, and ultimately realize Mazda's overall step-by-step technology improvement.

The Mazda3 has always had a reputation as a sports sedan, with its compact body, solid chassis, and smooth and linear power delivery, driving a Mazda is undoubtedly a pleasure. But handling and space are often incompatible, and Mazda's rear space has always been the worst in its class, and this is no different in this generation of Mazda. Another complaint about the Mazda3 is that it's too driver-centric, with petite women feeling trapped in the seat when sitting in the passenger seat due to the higher front desk. The 1.5-liter model, which is the main sales force in the Chinese market, is just as comfortable and smooth, but it has obvious shortcomings in acceleration, and if you want to experience the full driving pleasure, we recommend buying the 2.0-displacement Mazda3.

Mazda is obsessed with the technical improvement of naturally aspirated engines, believing that the potential of naturally aspirated engines is far from exhausted, and there is no need to assemble turbocharged engines with obvious shortcomings in output smoothness and quality reliability in order to comply with the environmental regulations of various governments. The naturally aspirated engine installed on the Mazda3 has a compression ratio of 13:1 or even 14:1, which produces more power and torque while achieving lower fuel consumption and emissions, but unfortunately, in order to adapt to the quality of oil in China, Mazda has fine-tuned the engine used in the Mazda3 for the Chinese market.

The Ankesaila is not as "overstepping" as the Civic in terms of configuration, but it is also very sincere. From the SKYACTIV engine to the improved gearbox, body, chassis, i-stop intelligent start-stop system, and i-ELOOP braking energy recuperation system, it has fully reached the level of a high-end boutique car. The Ankesaila is also the first Mazda model to adopt the Mazda Infotainment system, which has reached or even surpassed the level of configuration of luxury brands in terms of human-machine interaction. The Mazda3 is also perfect in terms of details, such as the steering wheel that adjusts with the speed and the automatic locking of the car.

Mazda cars have always been of consistent and reliable quality, and this generation of Mazda3 was voted the best car of 2014 by American Consumer Reports. In the comprehensive statistics of the long-term failure rate, Mazda's reliability is generally close to that of Toyota, and it is worth buying with confidence.

The Mazda3 is also one of the safest cars in its class, earning the highest rating in all crash tests at the IIHS, making it one of the highest Safety Level (TSP) models in the compact car segment today.

In conclusion, the Mazda3 is a product that is good enough in every way, but sales are severely limited by brand recognition, and if you are considering this sedan, we don't think you need to hesitate.
