The Volkswagen Sutar is very controversial in China. Starting from the fifth-generation Jetta, this series in China is named Sutar, produced by FAW-Volkswagen, the current Sutar on sale is the sixth-generation Jetta, launched in China in 2012, and remodeled in 2014, the whole series with multi-link independent suspension instead of the previous non-independent suspension with design flaws, but the chassis is still unchanged PQ35.

Although it is a brother model of the Golf, but the handling of the Sutar, quietness, and suspension are far from the Golf, its suspension is generally soft, although it can filter out the fine vibration, but the support is obviously insufficient, and there will even be lateral shaking when encountering bumps in the steering, even in the family car, it is only the middle and lower level. The wheel arches are not covered with enough soundproofing material, and there will be tire noise coming into the cabin on the paved road, and the sand and gravel hitting the wheel arches have a very clear sound.
In terms of interior and ride space, Sutar is no different from other models of the same level as Volkswagen, the central control layout is still the same as always, and the rear space is not larger than that of Lavida and Bora.
As a product that is about to be replaced, the overall configuration level of Sutar is acceptable, and the 1.4T model comes standard with cruise control, keyless entry, 6.5-inch touch screen, and supports CarPlay and CarLife mobile phone interconnection. Due to the enthusiastic pursuit of the market, Suteng has always been priced high, but there are relatively large discounts in many cities.
The quality and reliability of Sutar is still mainly focused on the powertrain, Volkswagen's turbocharged engine quality problems and dual-clutch transmission yield rate, in a long period of time are difficult to solve, in the United States "Consumer Reports" statistics, the sixth-generation Jetta (that is, the current Sutar in the Chinese market) since the launch of the reliability evaluation has been the lowest (WORSE).
