Founded in 1946, JSS is one of the most perfect speakers in the world, and it is the only speaker that has been in continuous production for more than 60 years. Paul Klipsch, the founder of JS, has 23 personal patents, is still active in the factory at the age of 96, and has been awarded the title of "Engineering and Science Hall of Fame" in the United States, which is comparable to Edison.
 
The Reference series is the high-end product line of JS, and the brand's only two over-ear Bluetooth headphones belong to this series. The two headphones are simply and crudely named, and only the different sizes of earcups are called Reference On-Ear and Reference Over-Ear, i.e., on-ear and over-ear. Both the Reference On-Ear and Reference Over-Ear are award-winning models of the VGP 2017 SUMMER, both support aptX and AAC Bluetooth encoding, and have the same battery life of 20 hours, which is the industry average.
