The predecessor of the company was the "Handicraft Production Cooperative" of Goucun Town, which was founded in 1954. In September 1972, the company was renamed "Goucun Agricultural Machinery Repair Factory", in August 1982, it was changed to "Chengwu County Hydropower Machinery Repair Factory", and in 1985, it was renamed "Chengwu County Transformer Factory". In August 1992, the company was renamed "Shandong Dachi Transformer Factory", and in July 1994, "Shandong Dachi Group Company" was established, and the core enterprise was Shandong Dachi Transformer Factory.
