CIMCOOL Asia Pacific was established in 2006 by merging the existing CIMCOOL operations in Korea, China, Southeast Asia and Australia. In order to meet the requirements of the rapid development of the manufacturing industry in Asia, CIMCOOL Asia Pacific has been able to develop rapidly with our factories in Korea and China. However, our history dates back to 1884.
CIMCOOL – Since 1945
In 1938, the Cincinnati Milling Machine Company (later renamed Cincinnati-Milacron) began to study the metal-cutting process more closely, as it had been doing all along. They are looking for ways to improve the performance of their machines.
Seven years later, their research led to a revolutionary new product, a chemical cutting fluid called CIMCOOL, whose pink color shows that it is unique.
CIMCOOL IS REVOLUTIONARY. In 1945, when it was born, cutting fluids were only available in pure oils and milk-like emulsions. CIMCOOL, because it is a water-based product, has twice the cooling performance of pure oil, unlike oil, it has no smoke, no fire hazard, and the processed parts are clean. Similar to emulsions, CIMCOOL maintains excellent cooling properties, and with the help of a unique chemically synthetic lubricant, its lubricity has been developed, allowing for higher cutting speeds and improved tool life. CIMCOOL shows a high degree of resistance to bacterial attack, and its transparency is acceptable to industry. CIMCOOL is a significant step forward in the field of metalworking fluids technology, and other companies have turned to the development of chemical metalworking fluids.
More than 60 years later, CIMCOOL continues to be an innovator of metalworking fluids. During this time, the industry has been making new demands on meeting tolerances, higher productivity, consistent quality, improved operating environment, and the ability to process an increasing number of difficult-to-machine metals. CIMCOOL meets the ever-changing requirements of modern manufacturing by improving and developing a diverse range of products.
