The China (Beijing) Region is an AWS Region located in the Chinese mainland. AWS has partnered with Sinnet Technology Co., Ltd., which relies on its infrastructure and AWS cloud technology in Beijing and surrounding areas to act as the service operator and provider of AWS China (Beijing) Region Cloud to support the development of AWS technology services in China and enable end users in China to enjoy better system performance.
AWS is committed to providing software developers and enterprises in China with secure, flexible, reliable, and low-cost IT infrastructure resources to help them innovate and scale their enterprises rapidly.
The China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, offers a similar technology services platform to other AWS Regions around the world. Developers can easily and efficiently deploy cloud-based applications within China, using the same APIs, protocols, and operating standards that are indistinguishable from AWS's customers around the world.
As with other AWS Regions, data or information stored in the China (Beijing) Region will only remain in the Beijing Region, unless the customer transfers it to another location. Customer data or information is not moved between the two AWS Regions or out of China.
