Shanghai Blue Cloud Network Technology Co., Ltd., Microsoft Azure, formerly known as "Windows Azure", a cloud-based operating system of Microsoft Corporation of the United States, VNET is responsible for its independent operation in Chinese mainland, specializing in providing server and network equipment hosting services/managed network services/content distribution network and cloud computing services
In China, Microsoft Azure operated by VNET is a public cloud platform independently operated in Chinese mainland, which is physically and logically independent from the Azure services operated by Microsoft in other parts of the world, and adopts Microsoft's Azure technology to provide customers with consistent global service quality assurance. All customer data, the applications that process it, and the data centers that host VNET's online services are all located in China. Data centers located in China East (Shanghai) and China North (Beijing) provide geo-replication in geographies more than 1,000 kilometers apart, providing business continuity support for Azure services and data reliability.
In terms of network access, the data centers of Microsoft Azure operated by VNET are directly connected to the provincial core network nodes of multiple mainstream operators (China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile) through BGP, providing users with a high-speed and stable network access experience. The two data centers in the east and north of China use the same address broadcast and BGP routing policies, so that users can access Azure services in the two data centers nearby to achieve the best network performance experience.
All data centers are selected from the top data centers of domestic telecom operators, and on the basis of green energy saving, N 1 or 2N uninterruptible power supply protection is adopted. In addition, high-power diesel generators provide backup power to the data center, with on-site diesel storage and a fuel supply agreement at the nearest gas station. The data center computer room is equipped with raised floors and cold aisles, which form an efficient cooling cycle with the back-end refrigeration system, chillers, cooling towers and ice pools, providing a stable and suitable environment for the servers running in the data center. It is equipped with a fresh air system to minimize the PUE of the data center when the weather conditions are suitable.
Azure is an open platform – it supports a wide range of server operating systems, programming languages, frameworks, packages, development tools, databases, and client devices, including open source software and systems. For example, run Linux containers integrated with Docker, connect to MySQL and Redis PaaS services, and use JavaScript, Python, . Develop apps in NET, PHP, Java, and Node.js; build backends for iOS, Android, and Windows devices. With the fundamental principle that "Microsoft loves open source", Azure cloud services support the same technology that millions of developers and IT professionals rely on and trust. The Microsoft Open Source Technology Center works closely with Azure's team of engineers and the open source community to provide customers with "best-in-class" tools and technologies to design, develop, deploy, and manage cloud services and applications, protecting their existing investments in technology and training.
