Founded in 1998, Schindler Technology has grown to become the largest supplier of printed circuit boards in North America and one of the largest suppliers in the world. On April 9, 2010, Schindler Technologies acquired the printed wiring board business of Meadville Holdings, making it a leading global high-tech printed wiring board and backplane assembly company.
Schindler's rapid growth began with the merger of Pacific Circuits and Power Circuits in 1999 and a successful initial public offering on NASDAQ in 2000 under the ticker symbol TTMI. In 2002, the company tripled its size with the acquisition of Honeywell Advanced Circuits, and in 2006 it tripled its size with the acquisition of Tyco Printed Circuit Group. This was followed in 2010 by the acquisition of Meadville's printed circuit board business, which once again doubled the size of the company to more than $1 billion in combined annual sales.
Today, Schindler Technologies is a leader and one-stop shop provider for key technologies, including fast order delivery and new product introductions, advanced high-density interconnect boards supporting cutting-edge smartphone and tablet products, high-end computing capabilities for the high-end computer and networking markets, specialty printed circuit boards and assembly for the aerospace and defense industries, and high-mix/low-volume medical and industrial markets.
