Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm with a portfolio of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management. Morgan Stanley has been active in Asia for more than 40 years, providing customers with a full range of products and services. Morgan Stanley was one of the first investment banks to enter China, and through nearly two decades of unremitting efforts, it has now achieved a diversified business platform structure, including securities, commercial banking, asset management and trust platforms. In 1995, Morgan Stanley and CCB established China International Capital Corporation Limited, China's first international investment bank. In October 2006, it acquired 100% equity of Zhuhai Nantong Bank and established Morgan Stanley International Bank. In June 2008, Morgan Stanley Huaxin Fund was established as a joint venture; In November 2008, it invested in Hangzhou Industrial and Commercial Trust. In 2007 and 2009, China Investment Co., Ltd. invested in Morgan Stanley, accounting for about 9.9% of its shares. In May 2011, Morgan Stanley RMB Private Equity Management Company was established in Hangzhou. In June 2011, Morgan Stanley Huaxin Securities was officially established in Shanghai, which means that the company has expanded its business to underwrite stocks and bonds in the A-share market, and Morgan Stanley has further strengthened its onshore financial business in China. Morgan Stanley has a high QFII investment quota (US$850 million) among foreign investment banks. Its offshore financial services are also booming, including investment banking, sales and trading, wealth management, investment management and other businesses, aiming to provide customers with a full range of financial products and services. The firm's global and regional private equity and real estate funds are also active in the Chinese market.

Morgan Stanley has worked closely with many Asian governments and has played an important role in the restructuring and privatization of state-owned enterprises. The firm also advises leading companies in Asia on complex domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as equity and debt issuances in local and international capital markets.
