UBS (China) Co., Ltd. ("UBS China") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of UBS AG, formerly known as UBS Beijing Branch, which was established in 2004 and officially opened in July 2012 after being approved by the China Banking Regulatory Commission in March 2012 to transform into a wholly foreign-owned bank. The company has a registered capital of 2 billion yuan and is headquartered in Beijing. UBS (China) Co., Ltd. is principally engaged in wealth management business and interbank business (including foreign exchange, interest rate and credit business and financial institution business). UBS China has opened a sub-branch in Beijing, which officially opened in October 2014.
