Hekang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hekang Company) was established in Taipei in December 1998, and the following year it was stationed in National Yangming University to set up an incubation center to engage in collagen research and development. In June 2002, Huanyu Group, led by Xu Lide, the former Minister of Finance, took over the shares, focusing on high-end medical materials and medical beauty care products oriented by professional technology. With the core technology of biopolymer and ceramic materials, Hekang develops collagen extraction, collagen/bioceramic composite materials, absorbable calcium linate ceramics, hyaluronic acid, etc., and enters the field of medical materials and medical beauty. At present, it has been approved by Taiwan, the United States, the European Union... There are more than 27 licenses in total, covering orthopedics, ophthalmology, dentistry, skin healing, plastic surgery, ...... and other major fields. In recent years, Hekang has used its expertise in the research and development of collagen and hyaluronic acid in biomedical materials to develop its own unique brands.
In 2009, it obtained the US FDA on-site inspection certification, and in 2012, Hekang Company cooperated with Exactech Inc., a listed company listed on NASDAQ in the United States. In 2011, Watson's skin care products and facial masks manufactured by Hekang Company won a number of "Best Product" and "Best New Product" awards at the Watsons Health and Beauty Awards.
In addition, it should be noted that Dr. Xu Lide, chairman of Hekang Company, is a former senior politician of the Presidential Office, who has served in various important public positions in the government, including Minister of Finance, Minister of Economy, Chairman of the Economic Development Council, Vice President of the Executive Yuan, and Senior Minister of the Presidential Office. Mr. Xu has extensive experience in multinational corporations and currently serves on the advisory boards of Scotiabank and XL Insurance Inc. in the United States. He was the president of the Taiwan Academy of Sciences and was awarded the Eisenhower Prize in the United States. He received a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University in 1985 and an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Victoria, Canada in 1996. Mr. Xu is the founder and chairman of Huanyu Group.
