Bayinbrook Grassland Travel Guide: Bayinbrook Grassland is located in the intermountain basin in the middle of the Tianshan Mountains, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with an altitude of about 2,500 meters and an area of 22,000 square kilometers, which is the second largest grassland in China, second only to the Erdos grassland in Inner Mongolia. The terrain here is flat, the water and grass are abundant, it is a typical grass meadow grassland, and it is also one of the most important animal husbandry bases in Xinjiang. The water source is mainly mixed with ice and snow melt water and rainfall, and some areas are recharged with groundwater, forming a large number of swamps, grasslands and lakes. Bayinbrook means "rich spring" in Mongolian. As far back as 2,600 years ago, there were Gushi activities here. In the 36th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1771), under the leadership of Wu Baxi, the Mongolian tribes such as Turghut and Heshute returned from the Volga River valley in Russia. There are also swan sanctuaries inhabiting the largest wild swan population in China, Gongnaisi Forest Park, a summer resort, and Arxia Scenic Area with healing hot springs.
