Nalati Tourist Scenic Area

Located in Xinyuan County, Ili Prefecture, the Nalati Grassland is one of the four major grasslands in the world, a subalpine meadow plant area, which has been a famous pasture since ancient times, with interlaced rivers, flat river valleys, high peaks, and dense forests. From June to September every year, all kinds of wildflowers bloom all over the grassland slopes, red, yellow, blue and purple colors, decorating the grassland with gorgeous colors. The combination of beautiful grassland scenery and local Kazakh folk customs has become a famous tourist resort in Xinjiang.

Best season: July-October. At this time, the grass was already very dense, and the mountains were green and fluffy, and from a distance it looked like a very large "blanket" had been laid. The best time to get here is in August or September, and it's a good idea to go with four or five companions so that you can rent a tent. And don't forget to bring a jacket, as there is a big difference in temperature between morning and evening.
