Zhongshan Hot Spring, located at the southern foot of Luo Sanmei Mountain, Sanxiang Town, Zhongshan City, covers an area of 2.2 square kilometers, is a complex tourist resort composed of resort hotels, natural hot springs, golf courses and Luo Sanmei Mountain.
Zhongshan Hot Spring is one of the earliest Sino-foreign cooperative hotels in China, invested and built by Hong Kong and Macao famous entrepreneurs Fok Ying-tung, Mr. Stanley Ho and others, designed by Mr. Mo Bozhi, a master architect of the Lingnan School, and inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, and officially opened on December 28, 1980. The hotel is composed of a number of courtyard-style parks with different characteristics, which completed a comprehensive upgrade in early 2013, the original park has been renovated as a whole, and the new Cuiheng Garden, Chinese restaurant, international conference center, hot spring garden and other characteristic parks have been built, which has greatly improved the software and hardware level and service functions of the hotel.
The natural hot springs owned by Zhongshan Hot Spring are rich in radium, lithium, fluorine, calcium, sodium, magnesium and other rare trace elements that are very needed by the human body, and are known as "Lingnan Famous Soup". Zhongshan Hot Spring Golf Club is the first golf club in Chinese mainland, with two 36-hole courses designed by two world-renowned professionals, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
Luo Sanmei Mountain is a famous mountain with great commemorative significance. In February 1984, Comrade Deng Xiaoping climbed Luo Sanmei Mountain during his stay at Zhongshan Hot Spring Hotel, and issued the strongest voice of reform and opening up: no turning back! Where he stopped to look into the distance, there stood a bronze statue of Deng Xiaoping donated by the Fok Ying Tung family.
