IBERDROLA brand introduction

IBERDROLA logo

Spain Iberdrola Company, the world's top 500, is mainly engaged in hydropower, wind power and natural gas supply business, and is an important global manufacturer with rich experience in the field of small and medium-sized hydropower generation

Iberdrola is an electric power company located in the north of Spain whose main activities are the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. Iberdrola has to monitor and manage the power from its production to its delivery to the customer to ensure the quality of the power delivery.

In the process of power transmission, the higher the voltage transmitted, the less electrical energy is lost. However, it is not possible to increase the voltage indefinitely, because each circuit has its own capacity limits. In addition, the power equipment will fail or damage from time to time, therefore, the management personnel must monitor the transmission of the entire power at any time, minimize the loss within the capacity, and carry out emergency response measures for the instability of the power equipment that may occur at any time, so as to avoid the problem of a small equipment, affect the quality of the overall point force supply, and even cause the crisis of insufficient power supply. All of this is done in the Dispatching Control Room (DCR).

Iberdrola S.p.A. is the second largest electricity company in Spain and the largest wind power operator in the world, as well as one of the world's largest companies in the field of circular and clean energy and one of the lowest CO2 emissions per unit of electricity production in Spain. In order to expand its overseas assets, the company recently spent $30 million to buy a wind farm in the United States and conducted research on the construction of wind farms in northern China. Eveldrola said it had signed an agreement with China to find a suitable site in northern China to install 1 million kilowatts of wind power. The company will have a five-year research concession in northern China and a guarantee to install 300,000 kilowatts of installed capacity in 2008; In 2010, it reached 1 million kilowatts.

As a global leader with rich management and operation experience in the field of hydropower generation, especially small and medium-sized hydroelectric power generation, Iberdrola will continue to vigorously develop the hydropower industry, and in the future, it will vigorously develop, construct and acquire hydropower facilities mainly in Asia, especially in China. Iberdrola will invest no less than 1 billion euros in hydropower in China over the next five years.
