Shanxi Zhangze Electric Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhangze Electric Power) is a listed energy company with thermal power as its main business, with its headquarters in Taiyuan, Shanxi. Stock Code: 000767. The controlling shareholder is Datong Coal Mine Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Tongmei Group), holding 27.45% of the shares; the second largest shareholder, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanxi Provincial People's Government, holding 9.72% of the shares; the third largest shareholder, State Power Investment Corporation, holding 9.09%; and other 10 shareholders and public shares.
In June 1997, Zhangze Electric Power was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In December 2002, the state implemented the reform of the power system of separating power plants and grids, and the controlling shareholder of Zhangze Electric Power changed from Shanxi Electric Power Company to China Power Investment Corporation. On December 28, 2012, in accordance with the overall deployment and requirements of the transformation and leapfrog development of Shanxi Province, Zhangze Electric Power carried out a major asset restructuring with Tongmei Group, which was approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission. It has opened up a precedent for the integration of coal-power resources with the capital market as a link in China, and provided a successful model for solving the long-standing contradiction of coal-power in China and realizing the coordinated and sustainable development of coal-power.
After the reorganization, the total assets of Zhangze Power are 40.5321 billion yuan, and the net assets are 7.469 billion yuan. The total installed capacity is 7729.5 MW, including 24 thermal power units with a capacity of 7160MW; 132 wind turbines with a capacity of 148.5 MW; PV 421MW. The total number of employees is 8,902.
