GRIMME was founded in 1861 as a forging factory in Damme, Germany, with a history of 150 years. Today, GRIMME Industrial Machinery AG is part of the sales and service subsidiaries in the UK, France, Russia, the USA, Poland, the Netherlands and Denmark, as well as the GRIMME Group. In 2003, GRIMME acquired Spudnik LLC, the No. 1 potato technology company in the North American market. In 2009 Grimme Solutions was founded in Damme to provide related technical solutions. In 2010, Grimme Agricultural Machinery (Beijing) Co., Ltd. was established in China as the base for the installation, production and manufacture of potato and sugar beet equipment in China and for the development of the Chinese market.
