Beijing Water Supply Group Co., Ltd. is a wholly state-owned company affiliated to the Beijing Municipal Government and a large national enterprise. The predecessor of the group was Jingshi Water Supply Co., Ltd., which was founded in April 1908. On August 26, 1999, with the approval of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, Beijing Water Group Co., Ltd. was officially established.

Beijing Water Supply Group is responsible for the water supply business of the central urban area (urban area) of Beijing, as well as the new towns of Mentougou, Yanqing, Miyun, Huairou, Fangshan, Daxing, Tongzhou and other suburban counties, and is also engaged in reclaimed water, sewage treatment, water supply engineering design, construction, installation, pipe network repair, pipe fitting equipment, water meter manufacturing, water supply materials trade and other businesses. In terms of enterprise scale, main economic indicators, water supply capacity, water supply quality and process technology level, it ranks at the leading level in the same industry in China, and is currently one of the largest and most influential urban water supply enterprises in China.

Beijing Water Supply Group has 39 secondary subsidiaries and branches, more than 8,400 employees, and enterprise assets of more than 210 billion yuan. At present, the group has 13 urban water plants, 1 water storage plant and 13 suburban new city water plants, with a total daily water supply capacity of 4.18 million cubic meters. The total length of the city's water supply pipelines is more than 12,600 kilometers, the water supply service area is more than 1,000 square kilometers, and the water supply users are more than 430 million. Among them, the daily water supply capacity of the urban area is 3.7 million cubic meters, the length of the pipe network is more than 9,700 kilometers, the water supply users are more than 350 million households, and the water supply service area is more than 730 square kilometers. The water supply range of the urban area extends to the west of Tongzhou Satellite City in the east, to Xihongmen, Jiugong and Fengtai East Highland in Daxing District in the south, to Lugu in Shijingshan District in the west, and to Tiantongyuan in the north.
